Immigrants faced many problems upon arrival in their adopted land, whether they arrived on the east coast at Ellis Island, or on the west coast at Angel Island at the turn of the twentieth century. Consider the problems detailed in each of the following four sources and make a case for the most difficult problem noted. Which problem would cause you the most concern, and why?
